slots madness Cookie Policy

This page explains every cookie and similar storage technology that can run on slotsmadnesss.com, what each one does, how long it lives, and exactly how you turn any of them off. Only one category is mandatory — everything else is your call.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website can store in your browser. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the site to work; others help with analytics or remembering your preferences. "Similar technologies" in this policy refers to things like localStorage and sessionStorage, which work the same way for our purposes.

2. The four categories we use

Every cookie and storage entry on slotsmadnesss.com fits into one of these four categories. You can accept or reject any of them — except the first — from the banner on your first visit or any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

2.1. Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function. These cannot be turned off because without them, basic things like page loads, form submissions and the cookie banner itself cannot work. No personal data about you is inferred from these.

2.2. Performance & analytics

Help us understand which pages are read, how long sessions last and where readers get stuck. All data is aggregated and pseudonymized before it reaches us — we never see individual user behavior. Turning this category off does not degrade the site, we just lose the ability to improve it.

2.3. Functional

Remember preferences you set: your chosen filter on the slots library, the open/closed state of FAQs, your language preference. Turning this category off only reverts those to default on your next visit.

2.4. Marketing (affiliate attribution only)

Used to attribute a registration at a licensed operator back to a click on slotsmadnesss.com so the operator pays us the correct commission. No profile is built, no ads are served, and we do not run retargeting pixels. The cookie is a 90-day click-ID. Turning this off does not degrade your on-page experience in any way.

4. How to manage cookies

You have three ways to control cookies on slotsmadnesss.com:

  1. On first visit — the cookie banner gives you "Accept all", "Reject all" and "Customize" buttons. All three are the same size, same color weight, and placed in the same row. No dark patterns.
  2. Any time after — the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer reopens the same panel, so you can change your mind.
  3. At the browser level — every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies on a per-site basis. aboutcookies.org has clear instructions for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and Brave.

5. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

We honor both the legacy "Do Not Track" (DNT) header and the newer Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an automatic opt-out from our Performance and Marketing categories. If your browser is sending either signal, we will treat it exactly as if you had clicked "Reject all" on the banner — no banner interaction required on your part.

6. Third-party cookies & providers

Only one third party can set cookies on your browser through our site — Google Analytics 4 (IP-anonymization enabled). We do not load:

  • Retargeting pixels (e.g. Meta pixel, Google Ads pixel, TikTok pixel).
  • Cross-site behavioral ad networks.
  • Third-party social share widgets that set cookies.

Detailed information about the data flow to Google Analytics is in our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to this policy

Whenever we add, remove or change a cookie category, we update the table in section 3 and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If the change is material (for example, adding a new third-party provider), the consent banner re-prompts you so you can review and re-decide before anything new is set.

8. Contact us

Questions about specific cookies, provider disclosures or access-and-deletion requests go to [email protected], monitored by Priya Shah, Head of US Regulation. General questions can also be routed via the Contact page. Reply SLA: one business day.
